4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend! It started on Fri when I got called off of work and was able to take the boys to meet my sister-in-law and take them swimming at the Bountiful rec center. There was a pirate ship that they could slide down and the boys loved being in the water.
Later that day Rick and I went out to celebrate my birthday by going to Maddox Steak house for dinner and then to a movie. I had a shrimp steak, sounds a little weird, but it was FABULOUS!!! Then we went to the movie Eclipse. It was funny to hear all the people cheer and such for different parts in the movie.
Saturday we went tot he Clearfield parade. The boys had a blast getting candy.

Jace didn't care much for the sirens, but loved the doughnuts.

Levi did well until Jace pushed him backward and he konked his head on the curb.

My boys with their buddy.
After the parade we went to Cherry days in North Ogden while Rick went golfing with his brothers. As soon as I had parked on the curb and opened the van doors Levi bolted into the crowd while I was standing there trying to get Jace out of the van. I was able to grab a 12 year old girl walking by and asked her to help my by staying with Jace at the van. I then ran after Levi. He had run to the bounce house and looked at me with those big eyes and said sadly "She said I can't go in without a ticket." I explained that he couldn't run off by himself EVER. We went back, thanked the girl profusely and then met our friends. We looked at the booths, let the kids play on the blow-up toys, and ate yummy food, funnel cakes, Mmmmmmm.
After naps Rick and I took the boys to Fisher Park in Clearfield for the festivities and fireworks. Jace made a break for it and after giving him a treat, looking away long enough to put the treat away, he was GONE! Rick and I began searching for him (in a crowd of 35,000 people). Jace went about 50 feet away, decided to come back and waddled his way back. We'd have never found him. Scared me to death!!! Next time we'll be in a crowd, he's wearing a leash!
