Nice Outfit

There are really no words to explain.

Let's go fly a Kite!!!

It has been super windy here lately with a bunch of storms blowing through. We took advantage of the wind and took the boys to the park with kites.

Did you swallow your blocks?

When I got home from work the other day Jace looked as if he had swallowed all of his wooden building blocks. Instead he had just shoved them all down his shirt and DID NOT want them to be taken out. Wouldn't that be uncomfortable? It was one of those things that isn't worth having a power struggle over. So we just let him keep them in there for the next hour or two until bedtime. At that time I wasn't going to let him sleep with them so there was a little bit of a struggle.

Yesterday I wished that I had gotten my camera. Levi fell down outside and banged up his lip. He wanted a bandaid on it and even though we explained that it wouldn't stick, he was insistent. So we got a 1 inch square bandaid and put it on his lips so that it covered both the top and bottom lips. He kept it on for about 2 hours and was stinkin' funny. He would talk out the side of his mouth and was pretty adamant that he needed it on.

Jace started doing this all on his own. He went from not speaking to speaking in phrases. One...Doo...Tree is his very favorite. Often he'll launch himself onto you, even when you're not looking.

Elliptical

I'm not the only one who loves the elliptical. We have to keep it behind a child gate so the kids will stay off of it.

Oreos

No one ever gave me the mothering advice to not give Oreos to your toddler. Not only is it black & messy on the in, but on the way out as well. Blueberries have a similar effect. Motherhood is always an adventure.

Allergic

Yesterday I got a panicked call from my babysitter after she fed Jace a peanut butter sandwich. He was not a happy camper. We had fed him PB before and had wondered if he had a little bit of an allergy to it, he'd get a little rosy cheeked, but nothing like this. Luckily he didn't have any trouble breathing and after a dose of Benadryl, it got better quickly. I was able to go home and get him and Rick was done with school for the day so I headed back to work while Rick kept an eye on him. We'll follow-up with the doctor in a few weeks.
